Master the Chaos: A Guide to “Withstand Combo” in Kingdom Hearts III
If you have ever stared in horror as a late-game boss or a secret data-relic turns Sora into a pinata, trapping you in a blender of relentless, flashing strikes, you already know why Withstand Combo is one of the most critical abilities in Kingdom Hearts III.
Historically recognized as “Once More” in earlier entries like Kingdom Hearts II and Birth by Sleep, this 4-AP support ability is the ultimate safety net between a triumphant victory and a frustrating “Game Over” screen.
What Does Withstand Combo Actually Do?
The official description is simple: Always retain at least 1 HP if you are hit while you have 2 HP or more.
When an enemy initiates a multi-hit flurry, normal rules would dictate that each successive blow chips away at your health bar until you flatline mid-combo. With Withstand Combo equipped, the very first hit reduces your health down to a desperate, single drop of HP (1 HP), and you are rendered temporarily immune to being knocked out for the duration of that specific combo string.
