Castle in the Sky Music Box Song: Complete Guide & History

The Timeless Magic of the “Castle in the Sky” Music Box Melody

Few cinematic moments capture a sense of pure wonder quite like Studio Ghibli’s 1986 classic, Castle in the Sky (Laputa). Directed by Hayao Miyazaki, the film tells the story of two young orphans, Pazu and Sheeta, on a breathtaking quest to find a legendary floating island. But long after the credits roll, what often lingers most in the hearts of viewers is its unforgettable soundtrack—particularly the main theme, “Carrying You” (Kimi o Nosete), composed by the legendary Joe Hisaishi.
